Sketch to floor plan
Redraw a hand sketch, scan or photo of a plan as a clean 2D floor plan.
Sketch to floor plan redraws a layout as a clean 2D plan on a blank sheet: a pencil sketch, a phone photo of a printed or old plan, a scan, a tablet drawing or a screenshot. It is a faithful copy of the layout, not a redesign — the same outline, the same rooms and walls, the same proportions — with wobbly lines straightened and right angles squared. Agents use it to turn a seller's sketch into a listing plan; builders, landlords and architects use it to get a presentable plan from paper.

Every option has a default, so a request with no options draws a black-and-white line plan on
an A4 landscape sheet with no dimensions, no room names and no furniture, and with doors and
windows only where the drawing shows them. To keep what the drawing says, ask for it:
{
"tool": "sketch-to-floor-plan",
"image_url": "https://example.com/pencil-sketch.jpg",
"options": {
"measurementMode": "preserve",
"labelMode": "preserve",
"furnitureMode": "none",
"outputStyle": "grey_fills",
"pageSize": "a4_landscape"
}
}What the drawing keeps
- The outline, the number of rooms and the walls between them; no room is added, merged or split.
- Stairs, columns, shafts and the other structural symbols the drawing shows, in their places.
- Every door and window the drawing marks, whatever symbol it uses, redrawn with the standard
symbol. With
openingsas_drawn(the default) an unmarked gap in a wall stays an open passage;completelets the model add the doors and windows the layout obviously needs. - More than one floor on the sheet: each floor drawn as its own plan, in the same arrangement.
Paper edges, folds, shadows, fingers, graph-paper grids and watermarks are not part of the plan and are left out. A photo taken sideways is turned upright from its EXIF orientation first.
Text and furniture
Each of measurementMode, labelMode and furnitureMode has the same three choices: keep
what the drawing has (preserve), leave it out (none), or keep it and let the model fill the
gaps (ai_guess, ai_locale, ai_standard).
- Dimensions and room names are copied from the drawing, and one the model cannot read is left out — check them against the original before you publish.
- Estimated dimensions (
ai_guess) are approximate. Measure, or leave them out. - Room names the model adds (
ai_locale) are written in the language oflocale, an extra key next to the options:en,tr,de,es,fr,ja,pt-BR,ruorzh(regional forms such asde-ATwork too). Without it, or for any other language, they are in English. - Added furniture (
ai_standard) follows standard layouts, not a designer's judgement.
Page and style
pageSize picks the shape of the sheet: A4 landscape (3:2, the default), A4 portrait (2:3),
square or 16:9. The plan is centred and scaled to fit with even margins, never stretched. Pick
a4_portrait for a tall drawing: on a landscape sheet the model may turn it sideways.
outputStyle picks the drawing style: pure black line art, dark walls with light grey rooms,
diagonally hatched walls, or pastel rooms with furniture symbols.
There is no custom prompt for this tool, and tier auto draws the default plan, using only
pageSize from what you send. Use the options.
